Amazona Zoo

Have a great day out with the kids spotting South American wildlife at Amazona Zoo

Amazona Zoo is home to over 200 animals from South America including jaguars, monkeys, peccaries, otters, owls, macaws, parrots, capuchins, spiders, snakes, flamingos, rheas, guinea pigs, iguanas, caimans, pumas, tapir and many more.

The zoo is approximately a 10-minute walk from Roughton Road station. Throughout the day, it offers ‘feed the animal’ events.

The zoo also has an impressive outdoor play area for children, Rainforest Springs, as well as a large indoor play area, Jungle Tumbles. There is a Yurt, which is an education hub that offers visitors information such as the history of South America and animal-related facts. There is also a Jungle Cafe and a gift shop on site.
