Cromer Pier, a Grade II listed 151-metre-long traditional Victorian pier, is home to the Cromer Pier Pavilion Theatre, Cromer Lifeboat Station and traditional family amusements
A historic and unique attraction on the beautiful North Norfolk coast, Cromer Pier is one of only five UK seaside piers with a full working theatre. It is also home to the only end-of-the-pier show in the world which offers live variety acts at their best, all year round. The famous Cromer Pier Show has been running for more than 40 years and been enjoyed by generations of visitors. There are approximately 500 seats at the theatre and the year-round programme includes great pop music, West End ballads, speciality acts and comedy.
A full day out on the Pier can include crab fishing, souvenir shipping, delicious food on the quarterdeck at the Tides restaurant or a drink at the Pavilion Bar with stunning views of the North Norfolk coastline and a show at the theatre.
Cromer Pier is owned and maintained by North Norfolk District Council (NNDC). NNDC took on the responsibility for running and funding the pier after the local government re-organisation of 1974. Since then, NNDC have carried out several major repair works and refurbishments of the much-loved pier. In March 2015, Cromer Pier was voted ‘Pier of the Year 2015’ by the National Piers Society.
