Things to do in Hoveton & Wroxham

Guided Railway Walk: Wroxham and Tunstead Circular

Date: Sunday 17 June 2018
Distance: About 5.5 miles

Walk leader: Eileen Oliver
Start time: Catch the 10.36 train from Norwich to Wroxham
Details: A Bittern Line walk via the Bure Valley Way, footpaths and lanes to Tunstead where we may visit the Horse & Groom pub before returning to Wroxham

This guided walk is free to train ticket holders. Please remember to wear suitable shoes or boots and bring a packed lunch and drink with you, as not all walks pass a pub or café.

The train time provided is for travellers from Norwich; please check train times if you are coming from elsewhere. We aim to arrive back in Norwich by 17.00 at the latest.

When you buy your rail ticket, please bear in mind that not all walks start and finish at the same station.

Dogs are welcome and there is no charge for them on the train. Please keep your dog on a lead at all times as walks sometimes pass through fields with livestock and nature reserves.

The guided railway walks are led by Mike Bugden, Eileen Oliver and Trevor Garrod. Between them, they have been guiding walks for more than a decade. New walk leaders and route suggestions are always welcome.
