Beautiful Sheringham beach is a few minutes walk from Sheringham station
Sheringham Beach is sandy when the tide is out and stony when the tide is in. The beach has toilets, beach huts and public showers, and there is easy access to cafes and amusement arcades in town.
If you walk along the West Promenade and head up to the top of the cliff along the tarmac path, you get beautiful views overlooking the groynes on the beach below. The groynes help to control tidal erosion.
The promenade is a great place to idle along with an ice cream or fish and chips. During the summer months, there is a designated dog-free zone, which will be clearly marked on the map on the Beach Information Board at the entrance to the beach.
