Roughton Road

Roughton Road station is a halt located on the outskirts of Cromer

Built in 1985, it is the newest station on the line and located close to the now disused Cromer Tunnel, reputed to be the only railway tunnel in Norfolk. The National Trust property, Felbrigg Hall, is a 2.2 mile walk from the station. For a great family day out, Amazona Zoo is a ten-minute walk away from the station. In 1933, Albert Einstein stopped off briefly en-route for America to live in a hut on Roughton Heath while fleeing from Nazi persecution.
